What’s New?

Throckmorton Village Hall

A new Village Hall has been built replacing the old building which was owned by the Scouts Association and was about one hundred years old.the Scouts had not used this building for some years and was used as the village parish Room. The building was in a bad state of repair and had no modern facilities.

Throckmorton Village Charity bought this old building off the scouts with the help of Severn Waste under the Landfill Tax credit Scheme.the new building was funded with money from DEFRA under the Rural Development Scheme

The new Hall now boasts a car park to the rear thanks to a local land owner. The Hall has a fully equipped kitchen and toilets and will be available for Hire for anyone interested, for functions, Meetings, recreational classes, seminars etc.

It has been a long hard slog to get this new facility up and running and we need the support of local people and organizations to keep it running.
